According to THE Oxford English Dictionary, Dedication is the hard work and effort that somebody puts into an activity or purpose, because they think it is important.
Most people serve God when the going is well, but only few remain committed to God in the face of distraction. Dedication despite distraction is dedication unto drastic distinction. Distraction we face during our dedication come as temptation, frustration, opposition, confrontation, accusation, or persecution. Some people cannot serve when faced with any of these distractions.
THREE FORCES OF DEDICATION
These forces help you stand in track during your service to God and destiny pursuit.
You cannot be dedicated to the kingdom service accidentally, but only when you decide to give yourself, time and resources in to it. Dedication is the choice to please God rather than man or a society. Decision is the choice to stand on your conviction even if the whole world will not stand with you. It is deciding to live by conscience and not by consensus. (Hebrews 11:24-26)
Determination is vitally required for complete dedication to God. You trust Him even if you cannot trace Him. Dedication by determination is living for God and your divine purpose, not existing or living to earn a living. Determination is willingness to confront and surmount obstacles for the cause of God. Be determined!
Discipline sustains our dedication to the kingdom service and destiny pursuit. It gives momentum to our dedication.
WHAT DISCIPLINE DOES FOR A MAN
Discipline makes a man do the relevant at any cost. It makes a man place his assignment above enjoyment, it makes him say no to the legitimate but only unprofitable. It makes you differentiate between the legitimate and the profitable.
