DARK MOMENTS

There are times, seasons, and situations we find ourselves in that it seems like God’s not there. It feels like we are not loved, it is like everybody hates us. It is a time of distress, rejection, dejection, oppression, temptation, and trial times. It is a season of sorrow, darkness and storms. This is a time you even wish for dead or reversion, you even regret to have not been born like Job who cursed the day of his birth when faced with dark moments.

When a minister is fighting vigorously to make his ministry stand and grow is faced with diminishing in the number of congregation, and also the power of God is not manifesting neither is there the manifestation of the Spirit of God, it is said he is facing dark moment.

There are times in my life when I was faced with trials that made me thought God is not in heaven, I was grinded for life, my life was a living hell, I was despised and neglected by family and friends, only few friends stood by me; the ones I never regarded them to be friends. During those moments, I thought of giving up on life but this voice keep telling me that “circumstances can never take a person’s life but rather makes him stronger to face tougher times with ease in the future.” This statement gave hope and strength to my weary soul and physically dying body. I endured and now it’s a living testimony.

Other dark moments were times I faced and fell into diverse temptations. Some I overcame while some that had strength over my weaknesses prevailed. It never made me felt like am a looser, No! I never felt like a looser when temptation prevailed. Sometimes when I found myself committing sin at that moment I tell myself, ‘I know one day I will overcome this.’ That is how I overcame. When you are falling, tell yourself ‘I am standing.’ Do you observe a baby that is learning to walk? The baby will raise a foot to take a step, but will fall. The baby will not give up, he will keep on trying until the day he will take a step without falling. That is how you should live in dark moments.

Strive and strive until you win. I know as you are walking in the dark tunnel, you will definitely hit your foot and head on walls and stones, you may sustain injuries and bruises. You might not be seeing the end of the tunnel to give you hope, but let your determination gives you a living faith and hope of the end glory.

NEVER GIVE UP IN YOUR DARK MOMENT

The ultimate victory a person can have is when faced with storms of life, he keeps on till the sunlight he sees. Perpetuating obstacles may drift you in the rivers of life but let your anchor holds on till you reach the distance shore. Calamities and wavering storms of life will never give up on you, but you can make a way out of them.

STAND BY THE WORD OF GOD

The song writer said, “When the howling storms of doubt and fear assail, by the living Word of God I shall prevail.” Let the Word of God be your anchor in the drifting ocean of life.
